Eyeboogie.com

The sun may never set on the British empire, but it did on Pop-Up Video. When the staple of VH1 was cancelled - along with Eyeboogie's other production, Never Mind the Buzzcocks - I was asked to remain on as a freelance web producer. I'll be honest: I wasn't keen on making the entire site in Flash. At the time, the current state of Flash would've made SEO optimization harder, plus quick updates weren't exactly easy. I mitigated the loading issues - back then broadband access to average users was a little more up in the air - by keeping important navigation elements in seperate .swf files, ensuring that if someone didn't feel like waiting for the bulk of the content to load, they could at least still move around the site.

The final result was up at www.eyeboogie.com from ~2002-2005. I don't take it's replacement personally; site's age, after all. :) My version had a great three year run on-line, and that's awesome.
