A long time ago 13 years ago in a galaxy far, far away in midtown Manhattan, an artist was commissioned to create a set of roughly 100 icons for a little show called Pop-Up Video. These icons would become the show's hallmark, second only to the all-singing, all-dancing "BLOOP!" that let you know the show was on if you were in a different room.
That artist was not me.
However, for the final season of the show - 2001 to 2002 - I was Eyeboogie's internal graphics guru; the pop-maker and the pop-babysitter. Sometimes I really thought that if it were physicaly possible to put a leash on them life couldn't get more perfect. Managing and organizing more than 100 little graphics per episode wasn't easy, especially when the scripts were always changing, either due to legal reasons or good, old-fashioned notes from the producers. But we all got by, and when things got really tight I even took the helm of the AVID to give the editors a bit of a break.
